Changing – it happens all the time
Part 2C
Focus on what is possible
Most of us know that last weekend had a good part of our country preoccupied with Super Bowl Sunday. Even if you are
not a sports fan, it is hard to over look all the media attention given to this event. This year's game was especially memorable. The press and critics had already declared the winner long before the players
ever touched the field. The Rams were by far the superior team and would crush the lowly New England Patriots. Turns out that everyone was wrong.
In life we are all quick to make judgments about what we are certain is true, for ourselves and for others. This means people will always be
giving you their opinions on what they think is right and what they think is wrong. We all have ideas about what we think we can do and what we know we cannot
If the Patriots had listened to what all the experts were certain of, they would have come on to the field defeated, losers in their own mind. If
they would have bought into the ideas of all that knew better, they wouldn't have needed to show up for the game, it was over before it started and they could just stayed home and felt bad about it.
If you have a challenge in your life, don't listen to all the things people tell you how there's no hope in being
victorious. Those inner voices telling you that you are already defeated can only be right if you do not show up for the game to take the field and play. The only way to be a loser is to give up. The Patriots were
one of the biggest underdogs in the history of the Super Bowl. They believed in themselves. They won and proved everyone wrong. So can you. Focus on what is possible in your life and success is always an option.
