First steps in overcoming fears and challenges
Part 1a
Using your Mind as a Process
So often people call or write us wanting to overcome their fears, phobias, OCD or shyness and yet they don't believe that
it is possible that they can change. Many have dealt with their challenge for a long period of time, they seem to have either given up on the possibility their life could ever be different or they have a belief that
says, "this is how things will always be".
Often the problem is that we look at ourselves as a thing, a noun, or a solid object. This point of view is most certainly is not incorrect, however
that is not all we are. As humans beings we are a living organism, a process of mind, body and spirit that is in an always changing state. In fact it is almost impossible for us to ever be stagnant. Mentally we are
constantly changing our minds and re-evaluating the world around us. Every time we learn something new, our minds expand and new beliefs can be formed and old ones can be changed.
Physically, there are always parts of us in motion, in fact every second of every day your body is losing and regaining some 15 millions cells. That
is a lot of change going on inside.
If you think of your self as a process (and you are processing this information in order to read it) and not an object, you
may find that your beliefs are bit more open to changing and once that happens, you can find your enthusiasm to process your challenges a little more willing to change.
